Problems registering with DIGIMAP

December 14, 2010

There are difficulties with the Digimap registration process and as a result EDINA have withdrawn the ability to register. This applies to new users of DIGIMAP (including Historic DIGIMAP) who haven’t registered yet, not those who already have.

EDINA apologise ; they believe these problems began with those who registered on Thursday of last week.  In the meantime, they are asking those who registered with Digimap between Wednesday 8th December and Sunday 12th December 2010, and are not now able to access Digimap, to contact the EDINA Helpdesk on edina@ed.ac.uk, giving, if possible, the approximate date and time they registered and their institution’s name.

Problem getting into to DIGIMAP – for new students?

October 20, 2010

We are investigating reports of problems accessing DIGIMAP (by newly registered students?) – though EDINA who run the service for us tell us that students are continuing to register normally.

If you are having problems accessing DIGIMAP, please let us know via athens@bcu.ac.uk.if you are a new student, and also at what point you were having problems. (Registration with DIGIMAP takes longer that with other Athens-protected services, there is a summary of how to do this here.)

Its a puzzle  – our CICT colleagues are helping to investigate us – and we hope to have some news soon.

Your map can be viewed on screen, or a PDF file at A4 or A3 paper size can be generated for printing locally.
